Welcome to Youth Advance
Youth Advance began with a goal of identifying the most outstanding teenage leaders in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic
Churches of Christ, bringing them together, and training them to become more involved in the lives of others. Over the past 25 years, more than one thousand
students have benefited from the instruction, fellowship, and motivation they have received at Youth Advance. Upon returning to their home congregations,
Youth Advance participants, called "Ambassadors," share these blessings with their youth group and their entire congregation. If you have young people
who have attended Youth Advance before, you know what a life-changing event it is.
Recent News!
Nearly 20 congregations from as far west as West Virginia, as far north as New Hampshire, as far east as Long Island and as far south as Maryland sent teens to the November edition of the 2011 Youth Advance Seminar! The YA Board was eleated because it was in this year that they would move the seminar from the spring to the fall (thus having 2 seminars in the same year) requiring congregations to double thier budgets for leadership training for their youth. "We did not know what to expect." said Matt Wilson, the president of the organization. "But we were excited about the turnout!" Everyone was in agreement that these 55 ambassadors were exceptional. From Bill McGee, the facilitator who said, "They gave 100% in every session." to the hotel staff who after interacting with them all weekend wanted to know more about this organization. Kudos to all the participants! Mark you calendar for next year's seminar on November 9-11, 2012!
