AMBASSADORS
YA ambassadors are some of the finest Christian teens in the Northeast that meet one weekend out of the year to experience training in" leadership with a different perspective."

Watch the depth of these Ambassadors' love for God the Father and Christ the Son as they make "I Believe" statements as part of a group activity during one of the seminar.

ALUMNI NOTE!
Many ambassadors ask the question, "How many years can I come to Youth Advance?" Since, the Youth Advance Seminar has a three year curriculum, ambassadors may return for all three years (providing they are high school age and can get all the necessary recommendations.) Many ambassadors come back year in and year out because they love the experience!

WELCOME
2010 SEMINAR COMPLETED!

The 2010 Youth Advance Seminar was a grand success. 36 participants from all over the Northeast met in seven interactive sessions with Bill McGee and have now gone back to their respective congregations as Youth Advance ambassadors. This year's seminar included a session that helped each participant discover their strengths in leadership and the challenge to push them to focus on developing those strengths because those strengths are what will make them remarkable leaders! You can watch them complete the statement: "To be a Remarkable Leader I..."There was also a session that focused on the power of humility. Each were encouraged to seek to replicate humility within each group and team they belonged to. They were challenged to affirm the statement: "Humility Starts with Me!" These leaders also discovered how they viewed change and were challenged to see resistance to change as an opportunity for engaging others in the group. Finally, these ambassadors examined the servant leadership model as established by God and demonstrated by Christ. These young people will someday make their mark in our society as great leaders!

LEADERSHIP WITH A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Youth Advance began with a goal of identifying the most outstanding teenage leaders in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Churches of Christ, bringing them together, and training them to become more involved in the lives of others. Over the past 25 years, more than one thousand students have benefited from the instruction, fellowship, and motivation they have received at Youth Advance. Upon returning to their home congregations, Youth Advance participants, called “Ambassadors,” share these blessings with their youth group and their entire congregation. If you have young people who have attended Youth Advance before, you know what a life-changing event it is.
HOW TO BEGIN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS
Ambassadors must be nominated by their home congregation. We ask for nominations of only the top young men and women from your congregation, and only those in grades 10 through 12. Youth Leaders and/or parents can do this by filling out the Ambassador Registration form that can be downloaded directly from this site. This form gives us the necessary information to begin registering the student. The Ambassador Application must be completed by the student and signed by a parent or guardian. Applicants are required to complete a brief essay, and to obtain two references as well. Please download and read the forms carefully. Make as many copies of the Ambassador Application and Letter of Reference forms as you need.
